As we transition to hybrid worship, there are several volunteer roles we need to fill every Sunday. Please take a look and think about how you might be able to contribute to our Sunday services.
Worship assistants help the pastor and cantor lead the service. In addition to reading the texts and prayers, worship assistants help the pastor set the table for communion, receive the gifts of bread and wine, assist with communion distribution, and help to clear the table.
Ushers greet congregants as they arrive, remind folks about COVID safety measures, ensure everyone knows where to go, help anyone with questions or special needs, tidy the worship space before and after the service, and take attendance.
Zoom hosts are responsible for starting and ending the livestream, spotlighting the speakers or musicians, muting participants as needed, responding to chats, taking attendance, and sharing the bulletin. We understand that this role may seem intimidating to those who are less comfortable with technology, but we can provide detailed instructions, training, and opportunities to practice.
